It was certainly a busy day for several of the SK Sports
teams today. The wrestling team took
first place in Oldham County with dominating
scores of 57-12 win against the host
Colonels in the finals; 75-6 versus Eastern, 76-6 versus Nelson County, 53-20
versus Franklin County, and 64-12 versus Central Hardin. A great start to what looks to be a very
promising season.
The girls
basketball team opened their season tonight at the Joe in a 32nd
District Match-up. Grant scored the
first basket of the game but that was about the only good for the Braves as SK
dominates by a final of 71-25. The girls
looked very strong on both ends of the court and should be in a great position
to make a run for the 8th Region Title once again.
The boys b-ball
team headed to Grant County for a match-up against the Scott County Cards. A disastrous second quarter doomed the Neers
as SK was outscored 27-4 in the second frame.
Scott County trounces SK by a final of 83-45 making the SK record 2-1 on
the young season. Trevor Montgomery led
SK in scoring tonight with 11 points.
