The Lady Neers V-ball team headed north to take on cross
county rival Dixie Heights tonight on new school year eve.
The frosh girls looked strong out of the gate jumping out to
an 8-0 lead. Things would go south for
the young Neers as the Colonels came back and took the first set by a score of
21-19. SK would settle down and win the
next set in convincing fashion. They
kept the mo going to take home the match win.
The Neers JV team looked very strong tonight and took care
of Dixie in less time than they’ll get for lunch tomorrow as they won by scores
of 21-8 and 21-7.
The varsity team took a commanding lead in the first set
after several service aces by Sophie Dunn. The Neers would lose some intensity
but still held on for a win, 25-19. The girls
got things rolling again in the second set for the comfortable win by a final of 25-11. Coach Atwood was able to get all girls into
the action in the third set as the Neers rolled to the 3 set sweep of the
Colonels and a wrap up score of 25-18.
As typical early on in a sports season, the girls continue to look for consistency and intensity that will last throughout the match. The glimpses they show really present a good look for what they can get done.

SK moves out to a 2-0 record on the young season. The girls will host Conner tomorrow night and
Highlands on Thursday night.

Hacker on the birth of their first child, Ava Ryan who was born yesterday
morning. I have a feeling this young
Neer will get a wide array of sporting events covered this year.
