The Freshman lost a tough match in the heat of the day by a final score of 1-0. The JV squad played a solid game as well but went down by a final of 2-0. NDA scored their first goal with about 17 minutes to go in the second half on a break away. They would later score on a nice cross that was knocked in for the game’s final goal.
The varsity took to the field as the turf started to cool down. SK got some nice pressure and appeared poised during the beginning of the match. NDA got the first goal of the game on a through ball and eventual break away. It wasn’t too much longer after the Panda score that two lights went out on the light stand near the band concession stand. For whatever reason, things went down hill for SK at that point and the Pandas cruised to the win.
SK once again returns a lot of talented players to the field. Taking on the number 1 team in the area was a tough way to start the season but they will get better and definitely learn from the game. The girls have two more home games this week versus district foe Villa and the defending regional champion St. Henry.
