It's Basketball Time In Kentucky!!!!

The Pioneers got their season and 8th Region Play underway tonight in front of a huge crowd at the Joe. Unfortunately, the Pioneers go down to defeat by a final of 57-55.

The game was a good one but the loss was a tough one. This SK team isn't very tall but is very scrappy. They played hard and never gave up all the way to the final buzzer. SK trailed by 6 points with about 40 seconds to go but actually had two chances to tie with less than 6 seconds to go. The game featured several ties and lead changes with no team leading by more than 8 points.

Turnovers were the Pioneers nemesis tonight as the boys tallied 24 for the game. Langdon Barnes scored 21 for the Eers and hit several big 3's at key times.

The Football Team was recognized at half-time as the guys got to come out on the floor and show everyone their new hardware.

I didn’t catch it exactly but I believe that the announcement was made that the basketball game with Conner for Friday was being postponed due to the football game.
