Simon Kenton got off to a rocky start on Wednesday afternoon against Holmes, committing 4 first inning errors and falling behind 1-0. The Pioneers regained their composure and came back for a 5-1 victory.
Jessica Farris sacrifice fly scoring Nikki Brown in the bottom of the 3rd tied the score. Farris then started a 2 out rally in the 5th with a triple and scored when the 3rd baseman made an error fielding Lindsey Bridges bunt. Bridges would then score as Kayla Morgan sent a single up the middle. Chelsea Bond then completed the scoring in the 6th with a 2 rbi single.
Simon Kenton takes on defending state champion Ryle Thursday at home at 5:00.
