SK Boys Lose to GRC

Simon Kenton's bus ride back to the "JOE" was a bit long tonight as George Rogers Clark defeated the Pioneers by 8, 50-58.

The Pioneers were never ahead in the game, rescheduled to provide GRC and SK with an aggressive opposing team. Simon drops to 13-3 on the season.

Zach Layne led the Pioneers with 13 points, followed by Justin Kohrs and Josh Hurd with 10 apiece. Josh Elbert followed with 9. Parrott and Hester were still nursing injuries, and Ponzer was sidelined with a sore thumb.

Josh Hurd ended up the game with a double double rebounding 10 along with his 10 points. The Cardinals out-rebounded the Pioneers 38-30. The Pioneers had 18 turnovers to the Cardinals 12.

The Pioneers return to the "JOE" next Friday hosting Grant County, followed by a Saturday night boy -girl doubleheader vrs Oldham County. The girls team will present all past 1000 point club team members between games.
