The Lady Pioneers hosted cross county Dixie Heights tonight. SK comes out on top by a score of 62-34. The Lady Pioneers defense forced 27 turnovers on the night. SK jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead and 38-17 half-time lead in route to the easy victory.
Jessica Farris led all scorers with 18 points on very efficient 4 for 5 three point shooting. Farris had 16 points at the intermission. Lauren Conley was the only other double figure scorer with 10. Conley was 3 for 3 from the field including 1 trey and was also a perfect 3 for 3 from the line.
The JV team also won in easy fashion.
The girls next take on Oldham County in a Boy/Girl double header at the Joe. All previous 1,000 point scorers for the girls team will be recognized at this game.
One bummer for the day, it was confirmed that Lyndsay Figgins will miss the remainder of the season with an ACL tear and will undergo surgery next week. Pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for her.
