The Lady Pioneers put back to back victories together with a tough 2-0 win against Conner tonight. SK put their first goal on the board in the first half on a header by Stephanie Cagle off a perfectly placed cross by Krista Russell. It turned out to be the only score the Lady Pioneers needed as Senior Annie Hamm pitched the first shutout of the Pioneers season. Conner came to life midway through the second half and had several scoring opportunities that the Pioneers defense turned away. The Pioneers got an insurance goal late in the second half when Senior Shari Cooper placed a beautiful cross in the box from the left side of the penalty area that K. Russell vollied into the net. The Lady Pioneers hit the road this weekend to take on Russell.
It was a "hair-raising" game for the Lady Pioneers in Hebron.
.....or hair pulling?
The Cross..........
.....and the goal. You can see Cagle heading the ball into the net on the far right side.
