SK Football Suffers First Loss of the Season

The Pioneers took on Boone County tonight in a home game. Things looked promising for the Pioneers as Tommy Gibson took the opening kick-off deep into Boone territory setting up a touchdown and 2 point conversion. Things looked promising for the 'eers at that point. A punt snap that ended up through the endzone allowed Boone to get on the board with a safety. The Pioneers battled back and put another TD on the board with an Elbert to Gibson pass. That would be all the offense the Pioneers could put together. Boone completed a long pass play that pulled them within a TD. The Pioneers got a big dose of Boone's Farris for the rest of the game who ripped off several big gainers for the Rebs, several times on 3rd and longs. On the other side of the ball, the Pioneers offense could not get on track and failed to score in the second half.

SK falls to 3-1.

Tommy Gibson took the opening kick-off down to Boone's 15. He later scored a TD on a pass from Elbert.

Simon said "Beat Boone"...but the Rebels second half comeback put the first L on the board for SK.
