Pioneers Crush Juggernauts in 40th Anniversay Celebration

The Pioneers started the 2006 season off with a bang at Chlorine Menefee Stadium in Indpendence Friday night. SK starts the 2006 season with high hopes for its second playoff bid in as many seasons. The Pioneers first half featured an aerial assult with Senior QB Josh Elbert and Wideout Nathan Ponzer teaming up for several big gainers. SK cruised to a 33-3 half-time lead. The Pioneers mainly kept the ball on the ground in the second half putting 3 more TD's on the scoreboard.

The half-time festivities involved recognizing members of past SK football teams over the past 40 years. SK entertained the Channel 5 Blitz crew for tailgate festivities prior to the game. The Pioneers will travel to Woodford County next week to take on Senneca.
