A busy night on tap for the SK sports teams scattered
throughout the Commonwealth. The boys
basketball team headed to Clark County, the wrestlers headed to Campbell County
for regionals and the bowling team was in Louisville for the state finals. First of all, a big 'ol Congrats to the bowling team who brings home
the state title, besting Pleasure Ridge Park in the finals! SK was a 10th seed after the
qualifying round but came out of nowhere to pull of the major upset to bring
the state title home. PRP was the top
seed. Wow!!!!
The boys b-ball team comes out on top against Clark County
by a final of 50-42. Taylor Morrison
continues to play with confidence leading all scorers with 20 points.
Finally, the wrestling team currently sits tied for second
place with Ryle right behind Campbell County.
CC has 113 while the Raiders and Neers have 92 points. Several SK wrestlers looked very strong and more importantly
confident. I’ll be back over tomorrow for
the finals but until then, here’s a few shots of the boys.
Mueller gets better and better week after week.
Taking in the action.
Hicks wins in OT 13-11 in one of the best matches of the night. Boone wrestler suffered a knee injury on the winning move by Hicks.
Coop racked up two TF wins tonight by scores of 17-2 and 16-0. He looked strong, healthy and confident.
Harris putting the final touches on his pinning win.
Owens without a loss tonight.
Joey had a first round bye and then in his only match of the night posted a pin in 22 seconds.
These guys literally twist their bodies like pretzels.
