The wrestling Pioneers finished 2nd in the big
school division and 4th overall at the GMVWA Holiday Classic at Wright State in
Dayton this weekend. The team finished behind top 5 in the nation St. Paris Graham, Delta,
and Campbell County. This is the first time the team has placed in the
Holiday Classic since the early '90's. The team had 6 placers: Kevin
Cooper 2nd, Joey Parrott 4th, Drew Harris 8th, Kevin Roberts 6th, Tucker
Mueller 5th, and Hiero Chamblee 5th. The wrestlers of the week are Tucker
Mueller who continues to impress as a freshmen, making the semis in our two
toughest tournaments of the season and Kevin "Hotrod" Roberts who
placed in his first major tournament while competing in a very tough weight
class.
The team hosts the 16 team Simon Kenton Invitational Tournament this coming
Saturday morning. Please come out and support the boys.
