Pioneers with 32nd Win vs. Grant

The Pioneers made their way down to Dry Ridge for some Friday night hoops action against Grant County in 32nd District action. SK was without the services of Zach Bishop and Nick Gray. Coach Steiner turned to the depth of his bench by using at least a dozen players in the first half as the Pioneers went with an up-tempo game plan. The Pioneers would slowly stretch the lead to a 12 point margin by time the intermission rolled around.

SK came out pushing things in the second half and pushed the lead even more. The Pioneers eventually would lead by as many as 20 as the decent sized crowd was fairly quiet. Grant County didn’t quit. They would eventually cut the lead to single digits. SK was able to shave time off the clock at the end and connect on enough throws to end up winning by a final margin of 60-45. The Pioneers were led in scoring by Casey Sorrell with 22 and Cody Chambers with 15.

Grant County always does a nice job opening up the game with the presentation of the colors.
