SK with Tough Road Win vs. Birds

The Lady Pioneers won their final regular season game of the year by besting the Highlands Bluebirds in a battle of two of Northern Kentucky’s top teams. The final score was 46-45. The game was tight throughout. Neither team led by more than a point at the conclusion of any of the quarters and neither team led by more than a few points throughout the game. There was a good crowd on both sides of the gym as another battle versus cancer game with plenty of pink on hand took place. The Highlands administration recognized breast cancer survivors before the game and the crowd responded with a standing ovation. Nice touch.

SK ends up the season at a very strong 22-4 having won their last 11 straight games. They will play Grant County in the opening round of districts next Monday at 7:30.

The boys wrap up their regular season with senior night tomorrow night versus Holmes. The boys will play Williamstown next Tuesday at 7:00 in their opening round game of Districts.

Chelsea drives for two.
