Lady Pioneers Advance to District Finals

The SK girls rolled the Grant County Braves in the opening round of the 32nd District Tournament by a final score of 63-36. The Braves put up a fight for the first few minutes of the game but they had no answer for SK’s defense. The decisive quarter was the third where Grant County was almost held scoreless.

The win assures SK of a berth in the regional tournament that will be held at South Oldahm next week. The girls will play Walton for the District Championship Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

Good luck to Grant County’s Candace Gorby who played the entire season with a torn ACL. She will have surgery to repair her knee now that the season is over. A very passionate and tough player.
