The Lady Pioneers were coming off an emotional loss last night to Notre Dame. They responded like a good team should and jumped all over the Conner Cougars by a final score of 55-38. SK came out to a 20-11 first quarter lead and never looked back. The girls had one of their stronger performances of the year as their defense was very stingy, the offense worked and SK won more loose balls and rebounds. The game got a little ugly in the third quarter but the Lady Eers maintained their composure when things started getting chippy. I actually thought that the officials did a good job of settling things down when it was needed.
Chelsea Tolliver led SK with 21. Caitlyn Figgins pulled down 9 rebounds before rolling her ankle in the 4th quarter.
Besides the win, the girls earned a well deserved day off of practice after having played 4 games in 5 days.
