Another Busy Night of Hoops

The SK teams took to the hardwood again tonight. The Ladies boarded the Dave Nolan’s Cheesewagon for Williamstown and the boys hosted the Rebels from Boone.

The girls wrapped up the number one seed in the District tonight with a 68-38 win over Williamstown. The Demons had been playing well as they had just beaten Walton by a point last night. SK would control the game from the opening and led 24-8 after the first, 41-19 at the intermission and 62-25 after three. I didn’t get any scores as Whitt ran the book tonight and didn’t have everything recorded before I headed to Cracker Barrel.

The boys team ended up losing their third game in a row at the Joe falling to Boone 66-49. Boone scored most of their points from point blank range as they exploited their size advantage over the Pioneers. Barnes led SK with 12 and Sorrell had 11.

The action continues this week with the girls traveling to NDA on Monday and hosting Conner on Tuesday. They then play 8th Region rival Shelby County on Saturday at home. The boys will travel across the river to play Withrow on Tuesday and then host Grant County on Friday night. Both teams will be involved in Kenton County Classic tournament play the following week.
