Simon Kenton won their first game of the season as they beat the Walton-Verona Bearcats by a final score of 66-50. Langdon Barnes led the Pioneers with 26 points tonight. The other double figure scorers for SK; Casey Sorrell with 16 and Darein Lanham with 10. Grant Schneider returned to the hardwood from the gridiron and made a nice contribution, especially on the defensive end of the floor as he took back to back charges on Walton's offensive sets.
SK plays at the Joe on December 23rd. They will travel to Ashland next weekend for the Ashland Invitational Tournament.
