The football team hosted the Cooper High School Jaguars in homecoming action tonight in the opening home game at Community Field at Meneffee Stadium. The football team had very little trouble handling the upstart Cooper football team. It was something like 36-0 before the end of the first quarter. The score at half-time, on the scoreboard at least, was 50-0. Once the team came back from the locker room, the score was changed to 49-0. The Jaguar team did manage to put a couple of TD’s on the board and got lot of excitement delivered from their fan base when they scored. SK cruises to the easy win by a final of 56-14. Craig Schadler got his first action of the reular season after a leg injury.
Prior to the football game, the girls soccer team traveled to Calvary for district action. Calvary has been a nemesis to the Lady Pioneers as the games are always close. Not tonight though as the Pioneers put an 8 spot on the Crusaders behind Krista Russell’ hat trick. Marie Cooper returned to action followin a recent injury.
