The Pioneer Boys play at 7:00 on Thursday night in Grant County aganst the Walton Verona Bearcats. The two teams split during the regular season with SK winning the opener 78-67 on January 11th. SK then lost just a couple of weeks later at Walton by a final of 72-69. Steiner's team played some strong competition during the last couple weeks of the season that will hopefully help them come out on top in this contest that should be a lot of fun to watch.
The girls also play Walton Verona. The game will be played Friday night at Grant also at 7:00. SK won the first game by 32 and the second game by 30. Coach Stowers got his offense going the other night against Williastown and the defense forced a lot of turnovers. SK has a lot more depth than Walton which will make it tough for the Lady Cats to come out on top in this one.
Good crowds were on hand for both opening nights of District play. Probably a good idea to get there early tomorrow night if you want to keep from going "up top."
