The Lady Pioneers have done a great job lately of controlling the ball. They have won the battle in the middle of the field and have outshot their opponents by a wide margin. For whatever reason though, they have had trouble finding the net. That wasn’t the case tonight as the Pioneers capitalized on their opportunities. Goals were scored by Liz Reilly, Jillian Russell, Brie Marti and two by Krista Russell who also had an assist. The Red Devils got a whole lot of their namesake, Krista, as the Junior ran like crazy on the left side during the first half and was able to get several nice crosses and shots off.
While the Lady Pioneers played well on the field, I have nominate the Stars of The Game; the parents who prepared all of the food tonight. That was some of the best stadium food ever, especially the Cagle Chips. Photographer was too busy eating to catch any JV photos.
The Lady Pioneers get the day off tomorrow and play three games in a row beginning on Monday as they travel to Tower Park, host Holmes on Tuesday and wrap up visiting with defending regional champion Ryle on Wednesday. Good Luck Ladies.
Nice job by Marie and Jessie tonight.
Cait putting in another hard game and bounced back from her collision and knock on the noggin received on Thursday.
Liz gets a rest after getting a goal.
Olivia looking for support.
Bonnie shared her section tonight. I wonder how she decides which row to sit on?
Oh yeah.
