The Pioneers out hit the Conner Cougars 13-5 Saturday, but still came up short 8-6 in a game that saw wind chills in the low teens. Junior Jessica Farris led the hit parade going 3 for 4 with a Triple and Home Run. Lindsey Bridges also added 3 hits and Nicole Rickson and Megan Pabst added 2 RBI’s each. But in the end, a bases loaded triple off the outstretched glove of centerfielder Kayla Stephens in the bottom of the 6th allowed Conner to come away with the victory.
The Pioneers are back in action Monday at Williamstown to begin district action.
