SK Boys Get Back on Track in Toyota

Simon Kenton got off to a bad start in the Toyota Classic losing to Louisville Male 62-51.
Josh Elbert had a game high 14 points followed by Josh Hurd with 11. Simon Kenton never led in the game and were behind by as many as 18 points in the 1st half. SK made a run in the 3rd and 4th quarter getting back to 5 down, but never any closer.

Simon Kenton got back on the winning track defeating Lexington Lafayette 75-67. The Pioneers led by 18 points but nervously watch Lafayette climb back in the game, down by only 5 and the ball in hand. Josh Elbert then got a hot hand and scored 6 straight ending the Generals comeback try. Elbert ended up with a double double 15 points 10 assists. Josh Hurd scored a game high 32 points and had 4 blocked shots. Hurd was named the "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER of the GAME" and received a plaque for his effort.

Simon Kenton will play Saturday Jan 27 at 12:30pm versus Bell County, who beat Dixie tonight. Simon Kenton can win the consolation tournament tomorrow with a win.
