Lady Pioneers take Two from Dixie

The Lady Pioneers JV and Varsity teams visited cross county rival Dixie Heights in a matinee match today. The JV got things started off on the right foot when the Landrum sisters connected on early goals to get the things going in the right direction for the Pioneers. Katie Z also scored a first half goal as the Pioneers cruised for the 3-0 win.

In varsity action, the Lady Pioneers came out somewhat sluggish. However, they put things together and got goals from Cagle, Marti, J Cooper and M. Cooper off of a corner kick. The defense held tough which prevented the Colonels from mounting any real scoring threats. The final score was 4-0.

The Lady Pioneers travel to Rosedale Monday afternoon to battle with the Indians from Holy Cross.
