Wrestling Team With Huge Day at State Duals!!!!!!

Congrats to Coach Nathan Gilber and the Pioneer wrestling team as they finished 2nd in the Kentucky Big School State Duals tonight. The team started out as the 3 seed, defeating Fern Creek 54-16 and Trinity 39-24 in pool action. The team went on to beat 2nd ranked St. Xavier 35-28 in the semi-finals. The team fell in the finals to 1st ranked Campbell County 41-20. It is good to see both the champions and runners-up coming from Northern Kentucky. Junior High State Duals were also today. Campbell County were also champions while Twenhofel (unranked to start the season) finished an impressive 3rd in Kentucky.

Undefeated Pioneers today were Hiero Chamblee, Chance Lutes, and Tucker Mueller.

The varsity travels to Athens, OH next Saturday to wrestle in the tourney honoring Coach Paul Kaiser's former Head Coach, the John Deno Classic.
