The Lady Neer Volleyball team clinched the regular season
number one seed in the 32nd District tonight as they beat the Walton
Verona Lady Cats in three straight games.
SK Freshman and JV teams got the night started off right
with the Frosh taking Walton in three sets and the JV team besting the Cats in
two, 21-19 and 21-17.
The varsity team came out of the gate looking very
strong. However, Walton came back on the
Neers giving them a nice run in each set.
Even though it never seemed like SK was in trouble in the sets, the
scores were still very close. SK comes
out on top 25-22, 25-21 and 25-15.
Stats of note for the Varsity match, Birthday Girl Kaitlin
Murray had 9 Kills, 2 aces, 4 digs, Saralyn Callahan posted 8 Kills, 2 blocks,
1 ace; Sophie Dunn with 27 assists and 3 aces and Samantha Eudy - 9 Kills, 3
aces, and 12 digs. Eudy also made one outstanding play by
crashing into the back wall that was one of the biggest hustle plays of the

SK has two more matches this week, tomorrow against former
district rival Holy Cross at the Joe and on Thursday in Union against the Ryle
Raiders.
Finally, great to hear that Allie Rice's surgery went well. Prayers now for her healing and strength in her rehab.
