SK Sweeps Frosh Double Header

A nice crowd turned out for a Frosh Hoops double header tonight at the Joe. The boys hosted Grant County while the girls were playing New Cath in the semifinals of the NKAC tourney. The girls' game was moved since New Cath was involved in the All A Classic this past weekend.  The boys won by about 20 in a game that wasn’t very close. 

In the girls’ game, the Neers fell behind by a point at half-time only to come back and take a 3 point lead at the end of the third. A technical foul assessed against New Cath seemed to give SK some momentum as they stretched out to an 8 point lead that ends up being the final margin of victory. SK ends up winning by a final score of 35-27. The loss was just New Cath's second of the season.  The girls will play Highlands in the finals on Saturday.
