Pioneer Soccer versus Grant

The Pioneer Boys soccer team hosted the Grant County Braves in another perfect night at Meneffee Stadium. The JV teams played to a 0-0 tie. It looked like the varsity teams were going to follow suit as both teams had excellent chances to score but just could not find the back of the net. The teams went to half-time tied at null.

The game continued with the same flow as the first half. Suddenly, with about 15 minutes to go into the game, the match took on a pace almost in another gear. The speed, action and aggressiveness of both teams went up a notch. With 13 minutes left in the match, a through ball to Cody Herald went to the left side of the box. The Grant keeper came out but it was just a moment to late. Herald scores the only goal of the game.
