The JV team had all kinds of opportunities to score but ended up in a final score tie at 0-0.
The varsity action saw the Pioneers dominate the Cougars. However, the game of soccer can be a funny sport and SK had trouble getting it across the goal line and in the net. Aris Kuntz would break the ice with a first half goal as she was able to get by the offsides trap that Calvary was using to hang in the game. Half-time score was 1-0 in a game that was physical.
Kuntz would get SK on the board again in the second half as the ball was bouncing around the box and was knocked in for the score. SK would cap their scoring when Shelby Meier knocked a corner kick in with the header. Calvary would get a goal late in the game to break up the shutout.
