Blistering Hot SK Buries Colonels in Classic

SK traveled to Dixie Heights tonight for semifinal action against the Dixie Heights Lady Colonels. Interesting, SK wore their home white uniforms. Dixie beat the Scott Eagles for their bid to the semis. They also were coming off of a pretty decent game to the NDA Pandas. Dixie came out and was the more emotional team. Dixie took a lead at 3-0. The Pioneers would start heating up from the outside and led 30-14 after the first period. The girls were on fire and it continued in the second quarter as SK l 51-30 at the intermission.

SK came out and went on a 11-0 run at the start of the 3rd quarter and with 6:20 to go in the third, the lead was a whopping 32. 74-41 was the score at the end of three. The Lady Eers slowed things down in the fourth and ended up winning by a margin of 81-54. For the game, the Lady Pioneers shot a blistering 15 out of 24 three point shots. 8 different players connected for a trey ball. SK was led in scoring by Sidney Wainscott with 24 points.

Kayla Blevins ventured out to take the game in tonight. Also, Caitlyn Figgins returned to action tonight and felt pretty good on her ankle that she injured last week.
