The Lady Pioneers opened their season at the Joe tonight against cross county Dixie Heights. SK hit the ground running as they scored within about 2 seconds of the opening tip and never looked back as they buried the Lady Colonels by a final score of 69-31. The Pioneers mounted an early lead as the girls couldn’t miss from the perimeter. The Pioneers got some decent scoring balance with Chelsea Tolliver with 18, Kayla Smith with 14, Aly Ponzer with 12 and Caitlyn Figgins with 8. Five different players nailed the three ball tonight.
Important game note for Saturday’s games with Walton; the JV Game will now be played at 12:00 and the Varsity game will be at 1:30 in order to allow folks extra time to get to the Pizza Box. The Boys game for Saturday night has been cancelled. Aly and Sid with the trap and turnover.
