The soccer teams took their turn trying out the new turf at the Meneffee Athletic Complex in the annual alumni game where the former soccer players take on the current boys and girls soccer teams. The current teams bested the alumni on both the girls and boys front. The girls won by a score of 3-0 and the boys won on PK’s. The boys game was highlighted by some physical play as the end of regulation approached. The girls game’s unique moment came when all 22 members of the alumni team took to the field at the same time trying to put in a last minute score. Coach Melanie Cruz was disappointed with the loss and vowed to get her team more organized next year through a strict training regiment. In all seriousness, it was a great night of fun that had the spirit of a reunion. A great crowd turned out and the event seems to get bigger every year. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event in various ways.
Krista Russell will be one of the strongest mid-fielders in the area this season.

Boys game got a little physical down the stretch.

It is only a friendly scrimmage...right?
