Chlorine B. Menefee Stadium

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. With the dead period over in a week or so, I thought it would be a good start to take a look at the new stadium. A picture is attached below and a few others are linked on the picture site to the right.

Here are the top 10 things that I am sure the players and coaches will miss about the old field:

10. Asphalt type hardness during the dry falls;
9. A field that was as narrow as a bowling alley;
8. The quick sand quagmires in the end zones;
7. Dust bowl conditions on windy nights;
6. Grass that looked great until the first game and suddenly you realized it was a mirage;
5. The crown in the middle that prevented you from seeing the opponents on the other side;
4. A sandy beach area on the visitor's sideline;
3. A field that some opponents refused to play on; welcome back Highlands soccer teams;
2. Never having the paint that would stick to the dust to mark the sidelines;
1. Watching Denny Gump tool around on the 1963 Toro.
