This victory means the girls are the first Kenton County High School basketball team (boys or girls) since 1995 to represent our district in the Sweet Sixteen State Tournament-and the first girls basketball team from Simon Kenton to ever make it to state.
The entire district would like to congratulate Coach Jeff Stowers and his players and staff for an incredible season thus far, and we wish them the best as they travel to Bowling Green this Thursday evening. They will compete against Franklin-Simpson High School at 6:30 PM.
Also thanks to the Simon Kenton fans (including a lively pep band and cheerleaders), administration and staff for making the long drive to Shelby County over the course of three evenings to support the team. The entire Simon Kenton school community- players, fans and staff-represented their school with excitement, school spirit and class!
