The Pioneer basketball teams hit the road tonight for 8th Region action. The boys team travelled to district foe Grant County and came out with a 86-63 win. The boys are now 5-0 in the district.
The girls team travelled all the way to Anderson County in a match which featured two of the better teams in the region. The Lady Pioneers come away with a narrow margin of victory by a final score of 55-51. The Pioneers jumped ahead early but the Anderson County team kept the game close by going to the line 25 times in the first half. The win marks the 8th win a row for the Lady Pioneers.
Both teams make another road trip tomorrow night to take on Oldham County. The boys team takes to the floor at 6:00 and the girls will play at 7:45.
