The Lady Pioneers fell in NKAC play tonight by a score of 52-49 at the hands of the Boone County Lady Rebels. The Pioneers trailed at half-time by a score of 23-20 in a defensive struggle. SK came out of half-time and seized the lead and things started looking better as the Pioneers dug out from their slow start. There were several lead changes and ties throughout the second half with SK actually leading by 5 with just a little over three minutes to go.
The team certainly played hard all night but seemed to play tight as the shots they normally hit just wouldn't fall. Hold your heads up ladies and get ready for your next game.
The Pioneers will next take on Dixie Heights in a boy/girl double header on Saturday.
