Lady Pioneers Host Bulldogs

The Holmes Bulldogs visited Menefee stadium tonight for SK's third game in four days. The game was delayed by a couple of downpours that turned the surface of the field into an ice rink.

The Holmes kids came out and took it right down the field through the SK defense. The Pioneers got on track and post the win.

You have to give the Holmes team a lot of credit. While they have had a tough year in the win column, they come out and compete and they particpate as part of a team.

I recently came across some sayings about teamwork. This time of year, the football, volleyball and soccer teams that are successful are clearly the ones that play together.

The Lady Pioneers got a dose of bad news today as the team learned that Junior Stacy Lankheit injured her knee against Highlands last night. We certainly pray that the injury is not a serious one and that Stacy will have a quick return.
