Lady 'Eers Notch Double Digit W

The Lady Pioneers hit the road for Lexington today to participate in the Tates Creek Soccer Showcase. SK was taking on the Generals from Lexington Lafayette. The game was held on a regulation 120X80 field which took some getting used to. The Pioneers put a goal on the board scored by Stephanie Cagle with the assist from Liz Reilly. The goal held up for the first half lead. As the half wore on, the girls seemed to like playing on the larger field and did a nice job of playing the ball wide and working it up the sideline.

The SK attack got going big time in the second half. Cagle was able to get SK’s second goal on a header off of an assist from Jillian Russell. Cagle completed the hat trick thanks to the assist from Marie Cooper for the game’s final score. The final margin was 3-0.

The Lady Pioneers posted their 10th win of the season. Entering their final game of the season, they have won 7 out of their last 8 games. Coach Jones will attend the district meeting tomorrow to find out when the team will play Scott in the districts.
