SK Completes Kenton County Hoops Sweep

The Lady Pioneers completed the SK basketball sweep of Kenton County schools by posting a 56-43 win over the Scott Eagles. The boys and girls team finished a combined 8-0 against Scott and Dixie.

The Lady Pioneers didn’t look exactly sharp and struggled in the shooting department by only connecting on 33.3% of their shots. Scott actually had a better shooting percentage at 38.5% but the Eagles racked up a total of 26 turnovers. The Pioneers did have their best shooting night of the season at the line by connecting on 13 for 16 throws for 81.3%. The Pioneers were out-rebounded by two which has not happened very often at all this season.

Chelsea Tolliver led the Pioneers with 19 points on 8 of 16 shooting and Jessica Farris posted 15.

This game concludes regular season play for Simon with the Lady ‘Eers posting an impressive record at 23-2.
