SK Loses to Campbell County 48-31

SK lost to Campbell County 48-31 during the homecoming game in Independence tonight. Campbell County scored on their first possession and never looked back as they jumped out to a 38-13 halftime lead.

While the game was a disappointing loss for the Pioneer faithful, the fans bigger concern was on the health of Senior Brent Bishop. Bishop took an apparent helmet to helmet shot from Campbell County's Steve Brown. Bishop was reported unconscious and was removed from the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by life squad for evaluation of possible head and/or neck injuries. Our prayers certainly go out to Brent.

The loss does not eliminate the Pioneers from the playoffs but certainly makes their second straight appearance in the playoffs a difficult challenge.
