Annual Alumni Soccer Game

The annual alumni versus current players met in their annual get together on a beautiful evening at Meneffee Stadium tonight. A good contingent of alumni came out to show their level of physical fitness with about 25 ladies and 35 men turning out to test their skills. One thing I noticed about several of the alumni in attendance tonight; babies everywhere! Who won the games? Not really sure. I think the girls tied and the alumni came out on top in the boys match.

I have to say though, the big talk in the stands was the transformation of the SK campus. Tennis courts, new locker room and indoor practice turf facility. Wow, it is looking absolutely awesome. The thing that struck me; it is no longer a school, it is truly a campus. Extremely nice.

The SK Soccer Alumni is holding a Dinner and Euchre tournament on Saturday night from 6-11 p.m. at the Pleasure Isle Sports Complex. $10 gets you dinner and supports the scholarship program for the SK soccer players. Visit www.ladypioneersoccer.org for more details.
