The Pioneers football team hit the road tonight for a 6A showdown with the Boone with first place in the district on the line for the winner. Unfortunately, the Pioneers never got on track tonight. Things started bad for the Pioneers as they took the ball down to the Rebel one yard line. A SK fumble occurred on a tough call where forward progress was not called and the play blown dead so the fumble stood giving the ball to Boone. In a game against a tough opponent, some luck is needed and frankly the Pioneers had absolutley none. A fumble recovery on a punt was called back because of illegal procedure; a nice punt takes a bad bounce and rolls 20 yards the other way. Boone goes on to win 41-3.
The Pioneers travel to Russell next week to take on the Red Devils.
This pretty much sums up things for SK tonight.

Hey, when did long tube socks come back in?

Miles Simpson carries for SK.
