Boys Soccer Splits with Grant County

Shots on goal were flying off Pioneer feet in the first half, in a dominant performance by the JV squad. Ten shots were made toward the goal, including a strong kick from James Carlisle which hit the crossbar and a soft lob by Dylan Sterling that the keeper just got a hand on. No shots made it into the net, however, and the second half exhibited more ball control by Grant who took final control of the game, making the winning goal with 10 minutes left. “

The varsity Won 1-0. Chris Kentrup scored in the second half with an assist from Alex Branstutter. The end of the game was evenly played at both ends of the field with the SK defense kicking in to preserve the win.
